I think we are all guilty of trying to save money by doing home improvements ourselves. And, why shouldn't we. Especially, after the staff at Lowe's & Home Depot make it sound soo easy. I have now realized, after many failed/unfinished projects, that either they are liars or we just didn't understand. I am sorry, when I say we, I mean our husbands. I have had the same paint tape on my bedroom wall for almost 5 years. No joke! I tried to pull it off without success, due to being short. After my failed attempts of adding phone books, dictionaries and all I could think of to a step ladder - I asked my husband to help. He began to help, then stopped. I am not sure why, but that DAMN tape is still on my wall! This is just one of the many projects around the house that have been started, but never quite finished. And, heaven forbid if I try to hire someone to complete these jobs. Just be Real men, if you cannot do the job, tell us! We won't think less of you, in fact it would be the opposite.
However,I still would love it if someone could enlighten me on why men begin projects, but do not finish? But, I guess if someone could answer that, they would be rich.
The always truthful,
Real(married)girl
