Ice Storm 2009

Yeah, I’m back!!!! Well not really, as I type this in BW 3's. Did anyone notice I have been missing in action?

As you can see from these photos, things have been a bit frozen lately. The weight of the ice caused trees to crash into homes, on cars, power lines, cable lines, etc. Quite honestly, this city has suffered a big blow with a great number of folks being without power and seeking help from Red Cross Shelter’s or families homes. Even my husband and I opened our home to his brother, wife and DOG…. (hmm, that triggered a thought)

Wait, Wait, Wait, did I say something about cable lines?

You know the black wire that runs from your house to a pole, which enables HBO, Bravo Network, etc. to show on your telly. These same lines, also aide in a well known married blogger (to at least ten people…thank you) to use the Internet!

OH MY GOSH, I feel like I am going to die. Yes, literally. I have begun having technology withdrawal. In fact, I think I overate this weekend because of this crap.

Okay not really, it was actually due to the Superbowl and my monthly eat everything, cannot get enough food’s fault. And, I am still trying to figure out how I can climb the telephone pole and fix the DAMN WIRES!

Even though I am quite bitter in not having my cable/Internet in working order since last Tuesday, I have been in awe of how beautiful the trees are. They look like little beautiful glass figurines. Especially, when light hits them and they glisten like diamonds. It is breathtaking.

Now that they have melted, I can only enjoy them from pictures. Even though I am not sure these pictures actually do them justice. Nonetheless, they were beautiful and glad I am back, oh wait no I'm not.

Now I’m off to cry from withdrawal. Or maybe I'll write about House guests.
